Arace was sworn into his first three-year term on the Ocean County Board of Commissioners during the Board’s 2025 organization meeting on Jan. 6. A lifelong resident of Ocean County, Commissioner Arace is deeply committed to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and family-friendly community.
Commissioner Arace resides in Manchester Township with his wife, Deanna, where he previously served as Mayor. During his tenure, he led efforts to enhance community services, support seniors, veterans, and first responders, and protect the local environment.
Professionally, Commissioner Arace has been a principal consultant specializing in marketing and analytics. He partners with mid-size and large companies to refine business strategies and drive sustainable growth. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he founded a consulting firm dedicated to helping small businesses adapt and thrive in challenging circumstances, demonstrating entrepreneurial ingenuity and a steadfast commitment to community resilience.
As an Ocean County Commissioner, Arace serves as liaison to several key departments and initiatives:
Senior ServicesCommissioner Arace works alongside Senior Services to provide and connect programs designed to support. These include connecting seniors to state and local programs that provide essential aid, such as healthcare benefits, financial assistance, and housing support.
Veterans ServicesWith more than 30,000 veterans calling Ocean County home, Commissioner Arace works through the Veterans Services Bureau to ensure veterans receive access to critical programs, services, and well-deserved recognition.
Parks and RecreationCommissioner Arace oversees the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation, which operates 27 county parks, two public golf courses, and the Ocean County Natural Lands Trust Fund. The trust has preserved thousands of acres of open space and environmentally sensitive areas, safeguarding Ocean County’s natural beauty.
Ocean RideCommissioner Arace is the liaison to Ocean Ride, Ocean County’s transportation system, which operates more than 70 wheelchair-accessible vehicles and provides approximately 200,000 passenger trips annually, focusing on seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Consumer AffairsCommissioner Arace also liaises with the Department of Consumer Affairs, ensuring that businesses and consumers are treated fairly. He addresses complaints, enforces compliance with regulations, and promotes ethical business practices across the County.
Ocean County Vocational Technical SchoolsCommissioner Arace advocates for workforce development and career education as co-liaison to the Ocean County Vocational Technical Schools. OCVTS creates opportunities to prepare students for success in high-demand industries.
