"The Ocean County Board of Commissioners and the Ocean County Department of Consumer Affairs are becoming aware of businesses and individuals attempting to solicit services because of the Jones Road Wildfire. As we review complaints, we want to be perfectly clear that anyone looking to take advantage of the residents of Ocean County, will be fully prosecuted civilly under our rules and regulations. If criminality is found in any complaint, it will be immediately forwarded to the local police department and/or the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office for review. If you have any questions or concerns regarding anyone wishing to perform services at a residence, please reach out to the Ocean County Department of Consumer Affairs at (732) 929-2105.
