Honoring the Fallen
Ocean County honored the memory of those heroes who have fallen in the line of duty and recognized all those who put themselves at risk in the fight against crime, violence and terrorism during the 34th annual Ocean County Law Enforcement Memorial Day Observance on May 16, at the Police Memorial at Ocean County Park, Lakewood.
Riding for Those Who Died
Police officers from across the nation stopped in Ocean County on Friday, May 9 as part of their annual Police Unity bicycle tour honoring their fallen comrades.
Breaking Ground
Ocean County Commissioners Frank Sadeghi and Jennifer Bacchione joined other local officials, veterans and advocates at the groundbreaking of the Tunnels to Towers Foundation’s Veterans Village in Berkeley Township on May 7.
Trees for the Future
Members of the Ocean County Shade Tree Commission joined with first and second grade students from the George J. Mitchell Elementary School to celebrate Arbor Day and plant four Sugar Maple trees at Freedom Fields County Park in Little Egg Harbor on April 29.
