Celebrating “My County” Poster Contest Winners
Four fourth graders from Ocean County schools were recognized by the Ocean County Board of Commissioners, and the Ocean County Deputy Clerk for their winning entries in the annual “My County Poster Contest.” The pupils were honored during the May 6 meeting of the Board of Commissioners. The poster contest winners and their respective schools were First place, Sergio Rojas, Ocean Academy Charter School; Second place, Giuliana McDermott, St. Joseph School; Third place, Riley Seegers, Long Beach Island Elementary School; and Honorable mention, Maverick Drahos, Forked River School. Winning posters were selected by the number of likes garnered on Facebook. Each of the winning posters highlighted images and areas that define the characteristics of Ocean County. Ocean County Acting Deputy John Catalano was joined by Commissioner Jennifier Bacchione in congratulating the winners and their families.
