Congratulations OCVTS Students
Ocean County Vocational Technical School students were recognized for their outstanding performance and accomplishments in a host of competitions throughout the year. “Today, we honor you, the best of the best of our vo-tech schools,” said Ocean County Commissioner Virginia E. Haines, liaison to the vo-tech schools in Ocean County. “We couldn’t be more proud of your outstanding achievements.” Recognition certificates from the Ocean County Board of Commissioners were presented to students who excelled in the following competitions: International Thespian Society New Jersey State Honors; New Jersey FCCLA State Leadership Conference; New Jersey Academy of Science; Delaware Valley Science Fair; New Jersey Southern Junior Science and Humanities Symposium; New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Mapping Contest; National Ocean Sciences Bowl; New Jersey State Envirothon and SkillsUSA New Jersey State Honors. Skills USA is a national organization formed by a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to promote the growth and development of a skilled workforce in America. The students were joined by family members, loved ones and school advisors and administrators during the annual Awards Ceremony on June 3 in the Ocean County Administration Building, Toms River.
