Ocean County Salutes Police Academy Class No. 53
LAKEWOOD – Ocean County Police Academy Special Law Enforcement Officer II Class No. 53 marked the successful completion of their academy training during outside graduation ceremonies on May 9 at the Police Academy in Ocean County Park, Lakewood.
The 36 graduates entered the academy on Sept. 22, 2023 undertaking almost eight months of extensive training including physical training, classroom and hands-on training.
“Since September 22, 2023, when you first walked through its doors to today, the Ocean County Police Academy was your home away from home. It’s where you were mentored, where you learned from the best and where you were provided the tools that will help you in your law enforcement journey,” said Deputy Director of the Ocean County Board of Commissioners Gary Quinn, in addressing the graduates. “I want each of you to know that this Board of Commissioners, and joining me today are Commissioner Ginny Haines and Commissioner Frank Sadeghi, has the ultimate respect for what you do each and every day.
“We appreciate your hard work, and your dedication. We know you will continue to make our County a great and especially, a safe, place to live,” said Quinn, who is liaison to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.
Quinn also was joined on the stage by Ocean County Sheriff Michael G. Mastronardy along with academy and police department leadership from the County.
Class award recipients were: Anthony McCall, Beach Haven Police Department, Joseph A. Perna Leadership Award; Michael P. Trezza; Seaside Heights Police Department, Police Training Commission Merit Award Winner; Adam J. Bakos, Ship Bottom Police Department, High Academic Award; John K. Redvanly, Long Branch Police Department, High Overall Award and High Physical Fitness Award; Michael P. Trezza, Seaside Heights Police Department, High Marksmanship Award; and Sergio N. DePinto, Trevor J. Gouveia, Jack T. Keenan, Anthony M. McCall, Michael K. Pratt, Gaige E. Rebmann, Travis C. Squire, Michael P. Trezza, Anthony L. Tuminaro; Perfect Score Award.
