It was just an ordinary day; until it wasn’t.

Today, the Ocean County Board of Commissioners held its annual Day of Remembrance Ceremony at the County’s Sept. 11 monument on Hooper Avenue, Toms River.

Taking Care of the Environment Together

Ocean County Commissioners joined with Seaside Park officials, representatives from the Ocean County Utilities Authority, the Clean Vessel Act Program, the Tuckerton Seaport, Brick Township and a host of others to recognize Ocean County’s Pumpout Boat program and the dedication of all the stakeholders and in particular the boat captains, all having a hand in the success of the program.

Congratulations VOTECH Graduates

The Ocean County Board of Commissioners recognized the Ocean County Vocational Technical School graduates who received scholarships from the New Jersey Association of Counties (NJAC) Foundation.

Celebrating My County

As part of National County Government month activities, students in Ocean County again created posters choosing what they consider the best qualities of a County that is home to more than 650,000 residents. The contest winners – all fourth graders – were recently honored by the Ocean County Board of Commissioners along with Ocean County Clerk Scott M. Colabella.

Big Wheels Keep on Turning

The Ocean County Commissioners and the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation invited residents to Jakes Branch County Park for the annual touch-a-truck event on June 28.
