Ocean County Police Academy Basic Police Recruit Class No. 117 was recognized on June 7 during a graduation ceremony at Georgian Court University, Lakewood, following the successful completion of five months of intensive training at the academy which is led by Ocean County Sheriff Michael G. Mastronardy.

Ocean County Vocational Technical School students were recognized for their outstanding performance and accomplishments in a host of competitions throughout the year during the annual Awards Ceremony on June 3 in the Ocean County Administration Building, Toms River.

Ocean County officials joined with New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin and the State Division of Consumer Affairs Acting Director Cari Fais on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights for the annual launch of the statewide “Safe Summer” boardwalk compliance program.
Unlocking the Ocean – Welcome Summer
Bright sunshine and a cool breeze welcomed attendees to the Lavallette boardwalk on May 22 to a ceremonial unlocking of the Atlantic Ocean ushering in the 2024 summer tourism season.
Congratulations Firefighters
Following 400 hours of training at the Fire Academy at the Ocean County Training Center, Waretown, 32 men and women received their respective volunteer fire company badge during graduation ceremonies on May 20.
