Protecting Consumers, Together

Ocean County hosted the annual summer meeting for County and Municipal Consumer Agencies on Friday, July 18. Ocean County Commissioners Robert Arace, who serves as liaison to the Ocean County Department of Consumer Affairs and, Jennifier Bacchione joined directors and members of numerous Ocean County Departments, the New Jersey State Attorney General’s Office, New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, New Jersey State Senator Carmen Amato, and representatives from local municipalities, New Jersey counties and other respective agencies in presenting key insights on protecting residents and tourists from becoming victims of Consumer Fraud. The meeting featured important discussions about summer tourism protection, skimming devices, proposed legislation to safeguard senior citizens with Home Improvement contacts, and valuable resources from the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

In addition, Former State Director Cari Fais was presented with a plaque from County and Municipal Agencies for her outstanding leadership and support over the past three years.
