Ocean County hosted the annual summer meeting for County and Municipal Consumer Agencies (CAMCA) on Friday, July 24. Ocean County Commissioners Robert Arace, who serves as liaison to the Ocean County Department of Consumer Affairs, Director Frank Sadeghi, Deputy Director Jennifier Bacchione and Sam Ellenbogen joined directors and members of numerous Ocean County Departments, New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport, Erin Whitte, Senior Counsel to the Attorney General,  New Jersey State Senator Carmen Amato and New Jersey State Assembly Brian Rumpf, Ocean County Sheriff Michael G. Mastronardy, NJ State Division of Consumer Affairs Acting Director Jeremy Hollander, Seaside Heights Police Chief Thomas Boyd, and representatives from local municipalities, counties, and partner agencies.

Together, these leaders shared critical insights on preventing emerging scams, strengthening enforcement of the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, and safeguarding both residents and visitors. This collaborative effort reinforces Ocean County’s commitment to consumer protection, ensuring our communities stay informed, supported, and safe as we move into the busy summer season and beyond.
