Recognizing Leaders in Environmental Protection
The Ocean County Board of Commissioners recently recognized three honorees from Ocean County for their contributions to environmental stewardship at its March 20 meeting. The honorees were previously recognized at a Sustainability in Motion Conference in Atlantic City for their work in making a difference in protecting the environment through the creation of proactive educational tools, leadership and innovative projects that make people aware of our natural surroundings and the importance of protecting it. “These remarkable individuals exemplify the spirit of environmental stewardship and serve as inspirations for communities across New Jersey and especially in our magnificent Ocean County,” said the Director of the Ocean County Board of Commissioners Barbara Jo Crea, who serves as liaison to the Ocean County Recycling Program. “Your work makes a significant difference in Ocean County.” The honorees were Landon Hoberman who is a Point Pleasant Beach High School student, Tanara Hall, who is Ocean County’s Clean Communities Coordinator and Phil Preston, the Clean Communities Coordinator for Stafford Township.
