Serving Our Veterans
With Ocean County being home to the largest population of veterans in New Jersey, Manchester Township will be the new site of the Ocean County Veterans Service Bureau’s satellite office. With large ceremonial scissors in hand, the Ocean County Board of Commissioners, Ocean County Veterans Service Bureau staff, Manchester Township Officials and local veterans celebrated the opening of the new office at the Manchester EMT Station, located at 82 Lacey Road in Whiting, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Oct. 17. The new resource center was established to address the unique needs of senior citizens and veterans to provide them services without having to travel long distances. The office will be open three days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for veterans to meet with Ocean County Veterans Service representatives. To make an appointment with the Ocean County Veterans Service Bureau, veterans should call the main office at 732-929-2096.
