Ocean County Commissioner Virginia E. Haines, chairwoman of the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation, joined with parks’ staff and their family members to get a preview of this year’s Lighting Up Nature event at Jakes Branch County Park, 1100 Double Trouble Road, Beachwood. Opening night is tonight, Dec. 13 and the neighborhood style drive thru display of colorful lights and nature displays runs through Dec. 16. The hours are 6 to 8 p.m. and it’s free to the public. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus made an appearance to the delight of all those attending the preview. Commissioner Haines invites everyone to Jakes Branch County Park to enjoy the drive thru.
