Space for All
Director of the Ocean County Board of Commissioners Joseph H. Vicari joined with library officials and state Assemblyman Alex Sauickie to open a new sensory room at the Jackson Branch of the Ocean County Library. The room includes equipment that is visually stimulating, tactile, soothing, and interactive. It is a welcoming space to all members of the community, Vicari said. The special room is the second within the library system, joining the Joseph H. Vicari Sensory Room at the Main Branch in Toms River. Both rooms are open to all residents of the county. A sensory room will also be included in the new expanded library branch coming to Stafford Township.
