The Road to Law Officer Wellness

Ocean County Commissioners Virginia E. Haines and Frank Sadeghi joined with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office for the grand opening of a new Law Enforcement Wellness Center located in Toms River. Created by partnerships initiated by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, the near 2,000- square-foot space includes two consultation offices; a dedicated café room; two fitness areas, four dedicated reading nooks, a lactation suite for nursing mothers and lobby area. The prime feature of the new Center will be its Officer Wellness Library which will serve as a repository of resource materials for members of law enforcement that are interested in learning more about continuing education, fitness, retirement planning, financial responsibility, fertility challenges, parenting, divorce, nutrition, trauma, and resiliency. The Wellness Center will serve as a regional hub for officer health and wellness, and help improve the mind, body and spirit of law enforcement members in the community, which is critical to building healthy and safe neighborhoods.
