Ocean County Commissioner Jennifier Bacchione joined with the Ocean County Board of Health and members of the Ocean County Health Department staff to recognize the programs and services provided by the department to Ocean County residents.

Put Me in Coach

In an effort to promote recycling throughout Ocean County and during the summer tourism season, Ocean County Commissioner Robert S. Arace joined with the ever-popular Jersey Shore BlueClaws stadium mascot Buster, at the BlueClaws stadium in Lakewood to video tape a public service announcement on the importance of recycling at the ball park and at home.

Protecting Consumers

Ocean County Commissioner Robert S. Arace, liaison to the Ocean County Department of Consumer Affairs led a ceremonial oath of office for Ocean County Consumer Affairs Director Ronald Heinzman, recently named President of the County and Municipal Consumer Agencies.

Women’s Advocate of the Year

The Ocean County Advisory Commission on the Status of Women brought the month of March – Women’s History Month – to a close by honoring the achievements of women, in particular, Deanna Sperling, President and Chief Executive Officer of Barnabas Health Behavioral Health Center and Senior Vice President of Behavioral Health Services for the RWJBH Behavioral Health service line, who was named the 2025 Women’s Advocate of the Year.

Happy 100th Anniversary Pine Beach

Noting it has been called the “Pearl of the Toms River,” the Ocean County Board of Commissioners recognized the small borough overlooking the southern bank of the Toms River on its 100th birthday March 25.
