The Ocean County Board of Commissioners honored the many veterans who serve within Ocean County Government during a morning ceremony on the south lawn of the Ocean County Administration Building on Nov. 12.
ZIP, SLIDE, AND PLAY
From slides and swings to a dual zipline and outdoor fitness stations, Ocean County Commissioners, local officials, and project partners gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly remodeled “Slide City” playground at Ocean County Park on Nov. 6.
Expanding Access
Ocean County Commissioner Jennifier Bacchione, liaison to the Ocean County Health Department along with Ocean County Commissioner Deputy Director Frank Sadeghi and Ocean County Commissioner Robert S. Arace joined the Ocean County Health Department and local leaders to celebrate the grand opening of a new Women, Infants & Children (WIC) office in the Seagull Square Shopping Plaza in Lakewood.
Ending the Silence
Ocean County Commissioner Virginia E. Haines and Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer joined community leaders, advocates, and survivors at the Silent Witness Project hosted by Providence House at Georgian Court University on Oct. 29. This powerful event honored the lives lost to domestic violence and raised awareness about the resources available to those in need.
