Remembering the Fallen

Members of law enforcement, along with the Ocean County Board of Commissioners joined with the family members and loved ones of law enforcement officers from the County that made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the citizens of the County during the 32nd Annual Ocean County Law Enforcement Memorial Day Observance at the Ocean County Police Memorial in Ocean County Park, Lakewood.

Congratulations Graduates

Surrounded by family and friends and leaders in law enforcement, the 35 members of the Ocean County Police Academy’s 52nd SLEO II Recruit Class were recognized during a graduation ceremony at Georgian Court University, Lakewood, on May 10.

Ocean County Pays Tribute to its Fallen Brothers

Hundreds of police officers on bicycles along with dozens of support vehicles made their way into downtown Toms River today (May 9) as part of the annual Police Unity Tour stopping to pay tribute to two officers from Ocean County that made the ultimate sacrifice.

Celebrating Arbor Day

Joined with students and members of the community, the Ocean County Commissioners, the Ocean County Shade Tree Commission and the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation celebrated Arbor Day at Cloverdale Farm County Park in Barnegat Township by planting 41 White Cedars along the Cranberry bogs and an Eastern Redbud in the park.

In an effort to promote recycling throughout Ocean County and during the summer tourism season, Ocean County Commissioner Barbara Jo Crea, liaison to Ocean County’s recycling program, visited the BlueClaws stadium in Lakewood to video tape a public service announcement on the importance of recycling at the ball park and at home.
