Rutgers Master Gardeners Class of 2024 was recognized during its recent graduation ceremony highlighting the students’ success with in-depth, hands-on training they received in horticulture from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey faculty and professional staff. Ocean County Commissioner Virginia E. Haines, liaison to Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Ocean County, congratulated the graduates on behalf of the Board of Commissioners and extended her appreciation to them for helping make Ocean County beautiful.

Consumer Bowl County Winners

Students from Central Regional High School in Berkeley Township were crowned the winners of the 2025 Ocean County Consumer Bowl, an event sponsored by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.

Describing him as a friend, mentor, and a longtime leader in both public service and private business, Joseph Buckelew recently was recognized by the Ocean County Board of Commissioners, numerous public officials along with friends and Ocean County Government staff, as the Ocean County Administration Building in downtown Toms River was dedicated in his honor as the Joseph Buckelew Ocean County Government Center.
