JBJ Soul Kitchen Pops Up at the Ocean County Library

The Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library is now also the newest location for the JBJ Soul Kitchen Pop-Up. This expansion furthers the JBJ Soul Foundation’s commitment to combating food insecurity and fostering a welcoming space where all individuals can enjoy a nutritious meal, regardless of their ability to pay.

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Rutgers Master Gardeners Class of 2024 was recognized during its recent graduation ceremony highlighting the students’ success with in-depth, hands-on training they received in horticulture from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey faculty and professional staff. Ocean County Commissioner Virginia E. Haines, liaison to Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Ocean County, congratulated the graduates on behalf of the Board of Commissioners and extended her appreciation to them for helping make Ocean County beautiful.

Be It Ever So Humble, There’s No Place Like Home

Ocean County Commissioners Jennifier Bacchione and Frank Sadeghi, joined Berkeley Township Mayor John Bacchione, along with Kristine Novakowski, Chief Executive Officer for Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity, a host of sponsors, supporters and volunteers as they all shared in celebrating the completion of construction of a new home in Manitou Park for Isaiah and his family.

Adult students from the Ocean County Vocational-Technical Schools are helping to renovate the Lacey Township Elks Lodge 2158 in the Forked River Beach section of Lacey Township.

Consumer Bowl County Winners

Students from Central Regional High School in Berkeley Township were crowned the winners of the 2025 Ocean County Consumer Bowl, an event sponsored by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.
