Celebrating My County
As part of National County Government month activities, students in Ocean County again created posters choosing what they consider the best qualities of a County that is home to more than 650,000 residents. The contest winners – all fourth graders – were recently honored by the Ocean County Board of Commissioners along with Ocean County Clerk Scott M. Colabella.
Big Wheels Keep on Turning
The Ocean County Commissioners and the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation invited residents to Jakes Branch County Park for the annual touch-a-truck event on June 28.
Seaside Heights Carousel Spins Again
The Ocean County Board of Commissioners joined with Seaside Heights officials and members of partnering organizations in celebration of the long awaited reopening of the well-known 1910 Dr. Floyd L. Moreland Carousel after a long restoration period.
Restoring the Shoreline
Continuing the ongoing efforts to restore the shoreline at Cattus Island County Park, the Ocean County Board of Commissioners and the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation hosted project stakeholders on a boat trip to investigate the shore of the Barnegat Bay to see where nature’s wear and tear has hit the hardest.
Now That’s Taco-Tastic
Members of The Ocean County Board of Commissioners joined with family and friends of owner Giovanni Bautista Robles in cutting a ceremonial red ribbon June 11 marking the grand opening of Taco – Tastic at 175 Route 37 East, Toms River.
