State and Ocean County officials, project partners and dozens of guests joined Ocean County College students, faculty and staff for a ribbon-cutting ceremony on September 11, celebrating the reopening of the newly renovated Library building on the College’s main campus in Toms River.
How Does Your Garden Grow?
The grand opening of the Sadie Vickers CommUnity Garden was celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 12 at the site of the garden on First Avenue in South Toms River. Developed in collaboration with the Sadie Vickers Resource Center and Community Medical Center, RWJ Barnabas Health, the garden will help to combat hunger in underserved communities in Ocean County.
New Community Café Welcomes Seniors
Barbara “Bobbi” Jo Crea, Director of the Ocean County Board of Commissioners, stopped by for the inaugural meal at Ocean County’s newest “Community Café” at the Little Egg Harbor Township Senior Center on September 10.
It was just an ordinary day; until it wasn’t.
Today, the Ocean County Board of Commissioners held its annual Day of Remembrance Ceremony at the County’s Sept. 11 monument on Hooper Avenue, Toms River.
Taking Care of the Environment Together
Ocean County Commissioners joined with Seaside Park officials, representatives from the Ocean County Utilities Authority, the Clean Vessel Act Program, the Tuckerton Seaport, Brick Township and a host of others to recognize Ocean County’s Pumpout Boat program and the dedication of all the stakeholders and in particular the boat captains, all having a hand in the success of the program.
