All 33 Ocean County Municipalities adopt Revolution NJ Community Resolutions

Posted: March 5, 2026

Commissioner Robert S. Arace announced that as of February 11th, 2026 all thirty-three municipalities in Ocean County have adopted a resolution to become an official RevolutionNJ community.  https://www.co.ocean.nj.us/culturalheritage/frmRevNJCommunities.aspx

Ocean County becomes only the second county in New Jersey to have all their municipalities adopt a resolution.  Somerset County with only 21 municipalities became the first county back in the fall.  Monmouth County with 48 of 53 municipalities is in hot in pursuit of complete support.

If this was the 2026 winter Olympics, Ocean County would have earned the Silver medal.

As a comparison, back in 1976 during the Bicentennial, Ocean County did not get all towns to adopt the Bicentennial Resolution until the week before the Fourth of July.

Commissioner Arace commented, “this milestone demonstrates the leadership role for Ocean County in the Semiquincentennial of our nation’s founding.”
