Ocean County 250 Commemorative Quilt
Ocean County Board of Commissioners has commissioned an Ocean County 250 Commemorative Quilt containing a 12″ square representing each of our 33 municipalities with the appropriate logo, seal or designated image as selected by the municipal mayor. The project is being produced by the Seaport Stitchers Guild.
The Seaport Stitchers will produce two 12″ by 12″ squares from each municipal image. One will be incorporated into the 5′ by 7′ quilt. The second square will be framed and presented at a municipal meeting along with a commemorative 3′ by 5′ Ocean County Flag and other memorabilia.
The order is intended to be the date that the municipality was chartered in the original name. For example, Toms River Township is the third oldest municipality but was originally chartered as Dover Township.
Images below are for illustration only and may not be the actual seal, logo or image to be used on the quilt selected by each municipal mayor.
