Law and Public Safety

Law and public safety is a priority for Ocean County government. With the leadership of such individuals as Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, Ocean County Sheriff Michael G. Mastronardy and Joseph M. Valenti who serves as Jail Warden in the Ocean County Department of Corrections, the safety of the more than 600,000 people that live in the 33 municipalities that make up Ocean County is paramount. With the critical support of the Ocean County Board of Commissioners, each agency heads key areas of public safety and law enforcement activity from the aggressive ongoing efforts led by Prosecutor Billhimer to reduce drug deaths and lock up drug dealers, to Sheriff Mastronardy’s unique approach in implementing public safety programs and Warden Valenti's work with prisoners and maintaining a safe environment at the jail.
