- PUBLIC HEARING - OCEAN COUNTY TRANSPORTATION GRANT
The Ocean County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on a proposed transportation program. The County is applying for funding from NJ TRANSIT Corporation under the Senior Citizen and Disabled Resident Transportation Assistance Program. The purpose for the hearing is to solicit public comment on the County''s FY 2027 transportation service proposal.
Ocean Ride is currently reviewing a variety of service adjustments in an effort to sustain on-going transportation services in light of multi-year funding cuts. Specific information regarding proposed service changes to the Ocean Ride program will be presented at the public hearing.
The Public Hearing will be held Thursday, September 17, 2026 at the Ocean County Administration Building, Room 119, located at the corner of Hooper Avenue and Washington Street, Toms River, New Jersey. The Public Hearing will begin at 1:00 PM. The Administration Building is accessible to the disabled via the side entrance.
