Timothy G. Hart, Division Director, Timothy is the Division Director of Recreation in the Ocean County Parks and Recreation Department. He is also the Division Director of the Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission. He is both the Ocean County (2012) and Stafford Township (2006) historian. He is a graduate of Georgetown University and the Rutgers Law School - Camden and he is a retired member of the New Jersey Bar. He is active in many cultural organizations including: the League of NJ Historical Societies, South Jersey Cultural Alliance, Advocates for NJ History and the American Association of State and Local History.
R. Joseph Latshaw III, Public History - Cedar Bridge Tavern, among other responsibilities. Joseph serves as a docent and archery instructor at Cedar Bridge Tavern. In his capacity researching for public history projects he highlights and brings to the forefront local stories of the Revolutionary War for the semiquincentennial. He also writes articles for Ocean County Out & About magazine. He graduated from Ocean County College and Kean Ocean with a BA in history.In his free time, he volunteers for the Ocean County Historical Society and the Toms River Historic Preservation Commission.
Catherine McLearen, Public History - Registrar, Among other responsibilities, Catherine is responsible for public history research, grant writing, folklife programming, and is the division registrar. Catherine graduated from Seton Hall University with a BA in Political Science and minor in History.
Andrea Sauchelli, Cedar Bridge Tavern - public engagement, provides public with information and history of Cedar Bridge Tavern, develops art programs for kids/adults and assists in Cultural & Heritage arts administration. Andrea graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rochester Institute of Technology with a minor in printmaking. She is a professional landscape artist and is active in the local arts community.
Alexandra Smith, Public Art - In addition to her public art in Ocean County focus, Alexandra coordinates public programs, plans student engagement events and our student leadership conference. Alexandra graduated with her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Arts Education from Montclair State University; she holds a NJ Teacher of Art Standard Certificate for grades preschool to 12th grade. She also completed a Masters of Arts in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University where she focused on education, programming, and interpretation. In her spare time, she enjoys making pottery and baking
Samantha Stokes, Grants Manager – Website - ADA - Historic Buildings, Among other responsibilities, Samantha is the Local Arts and History Grants manager. She is also the ADA coordinator for Culture & Heritage and is responsible for updating the website. She writes articles for Out & About. She majored in History at Georgian Court University and is active in Lakewood’s vibrant multicultural community.
