The County Connection, located near JC Penney’s at the Ocean County Mall, is a service of the Ocean County Board of Commissioners.

All applicants MUST appear in person. PLEASE BE ON TIME FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.
You can go to the Department of State website at WWW.TRAVEL.STATE.GOV to fill in and print out your applications. You can also pick up and complete the application(s) at our office before your appointment, but please allow plenty of time to finish your application.
Representatives from the following departments will be available at Ocean County Connection: Veterans Service Bureau – Mondays from 10am to 4pm Consumer Affairs – Wednesdays from 10am to 2pm Social Services - Every third Tuesday 11am to 1pm
Veterans Service Bureau – Provides services to veterans, widows, and their families. Services include initiating and filing veterans' claims with both state and federal government agencies, filing for death benefits, burial benefits, and other entitlements.
Consumer Affairs – Is tasked with protecting the public, operating under the Consumer Fraud Act, and ensuring that businesses comply with the consumer protection laws of the State of New Jersey.
Social Services – Provides eligible county residents with financial, medical, and social services. Assistance can be granted for emergency circumstances and to meet ongoing needs related to Income Assistance Programs, Medicaid Programs, and Social Support Programs.
County Connection Processing Hours are as follows:
Monday to Thursday from 10am–7:30pm
Friday and Saturday 10am–8:30pm
Sundays from 11am–5:30pm Appointments are strongly recommended; walk-in customers are welcome, but be prepared to wait for a while. Customers with appointments are accommodated first.
Walk-ins need to be at the County Connection at least 2 hours prior to closing to give you ample time to fill out applications, wait for your turn, and have your documents processed by an agent. Please check in at the kiosk located to the left when you walk in.
At the end of the night, we have closing procedures we have to get done before the mall closes. Employees also need to follow Ocean County Mall guidelines and leave the mall by closing time for security reasons.
