Behavioral Health Programs:

Bright Harbor Healthcare’s EMBRACE Program offers grief support groups where parents, children, adolescents, young adults, and families can openly share their experiences following a loss. For more information, call 732-349-3535 x707 or email embrace@brightharbor.org.

Lakewood Community Service Corporation serves low-income youth with complex needs, including difficult family situations, behavioral health issues, academic issues, and more. Each youth receives one-on-one mentorship on a weekly basis, complementing existing clinical services. This holistic model of support - integrating mentorship with clinical interventions - will significantly enhance outcomes in academic performance, social skills, and emotional wellbeing. Ocean Partnership for Children’s Social Connections Program fosters wellness behaviors and promotes peer connections amongst youth and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. For more information, call 732-202-1585.


Employment & Training Programs:

Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore's Troop 100% Program provides access to a wide variety of experiences, from STEM to theater to outdoor education, as well as to adults trained in mentorship relationships. For more information, call 800-785-2090.

Mental Health Association’s Opioid Affected Individuals Program provides work-related activities to residents with opioid use disorder such as, but not limited to, life/career skills, career counseling, on-the-job training, resume help, and technology training. NJ Rising Stars, Inc. provides trainings on youth development, communication skills, healthy boundaries, and goal setting. For more information, call 732-996-4994 or email ystern.itg@gmail.com

Ocean County PIC's Enhanced Emplyment Program assists individuals who do not meet the eligibility (income and work status) to receive assistance through grant funding who are seeking enhanced employment with soft and hard skills that will enable them to obtain and retain enhanced employment, provide on-the-job training which is a subsidized opportunity designed to assist jobseekers obtain training that leads to employment, provide subsidized job training, and help individuals with their resume, interview skills and other barriers. St. Francis Community Center’s Older Worker Upskill Program provides work-related activities to residents (age 55+) who have retired from one career or been laid off after a lengthy employment and need to seek sustainable employment. For more information, call 732-281-8653.


Housing Programs:

Affordable Housing Alliance (AHA) provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, rapid rehousing, prevention, case management, and benefits navigation services for residents who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. For more information, call 732-341-2272.

Community Health Law Project’s Eviction, Foreclosure and Homelessness Prevention Legal Services Program provides comprehensive outreach, advocacy, and legal aid to individuals with disabilities and senior citizens facing housing instability. Mental Health Association’s The HOPE Project assists residents (age 18+) with non-clinical case management, budgeting, fiscal literacy, employment linkages and training, housing benefit navigation, group support, socialization, and transportation. Family Promise of the Jersey Shore provides prevention and case management services for residents who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. For more information, call 609-994-3317.


Resource Navigation & Care Coordination Programs:

Big Brothers Big Sisters ensure the Developmental Assets of children are positively influenced through mentoring, aligned with The Search Institute and BBBS of America's Standards of Practice. Mentees are matched one-to-one with a mentor and share activities out in the community. The agency currently has 27 programs in partnership with local schools that have youth matched one-to-one but meet in a group setting. These programs include School Based, College, Workplace, and Bigs in Blue Mentoring Programs. The agency serves youth ages 6 to 18. For more information, call 732-544-2224.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Ocean County's Fostering Futures Program seeks to help youth develop life skills, connect to supportive adults, set goals, and learn to self-advocate. CASA mentors also advocate for vulnerable children in the foster care system. For more information, call 732-797-0950.

Mental Health Association’s Ocean Allies Resource Center is a program offering non-clinical care management for the aging and disability resource center (ADRC) that assists individuals with disabilities (age 18+) and senior citizens find resources and linkages. Mental Health Association’s ROOTS Program offers guidance and support to individuals (age 18+) and their families residing that need assistance with any type of benefit navigation, as well as one-to-one case management, group support, and community outreach.
