New Jersey Cultural Trust

The New Jersey Cultural Trust was created in July 2000 as a public/private partnership to help ensure a stable and healthy nonprofit cultural industry in New Jersey that is sustainable even in the toughest of economic times. The Trust provides grants to support capital projects, endowments and institutional and financial stabilization of arts,
history and humanities organizations in New Jersey. Funding for the grants comes from interest earned on the Cultural Trust Fund, which is a permanent investment fund.

New Jersey Historical Commission

The New Jersey Historical Commission is a state agency within the Department of State dedicated to the advancement of public knowledge and preservation of New Jersey history. All of its grant funding is provided by legislative appropriation. The New Jersey Historical Commission offers General Operating Support Grants, Project grants and Minigrants to support a variety of programs and activities related to New Jersey history. It also offers prizes and free archival evaluation services through the Caucus Archival Projects Evaluation Service or CAPES.

New Jersey Historic Trust

The New Jersey Historic Trust was created by law in 1967 to preserve New Jersey's historic resources across the state. The mission of the Trust is to advance historic preservation in New Jersey for the benefit of future generations through education, stewardship and financial investment programs that save our heritage and strengthen our communities.

New Jersey State Council on the Arts

The Council was created in 1966 by Public Law Chapter 214 and consists of 17 members, all appointed by the Governor for terms of three years, and three ex-officio members. The mission of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts is to improve the quality of life in this state, its people and communities by helping the arts to flourish. The programs and services of the Council annually support thousands of public arts events in every corner of the state which reach audiences exceeding 18 million and help stimulate over $1.5 billion in economic activity for New Jersey.

Discover Jersey Arts

Discover Jersey Arts (DJA) is a cosponsored project of the ArtPride New Jersey Foundation and New Jersey State Council of the Arts working in partnership with other cultural service organizations statewide including New Jersey Theatre Alliance, South Jersey Cultural Alliance, and New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism. The project’s mission is to increase the awareness of and participation in the arts in New Jersey.
