At the Ocean County Board of Elections, we appreciate the dedication and commitment of all our Board Workers. The election process can only be successful when community spirited individuals give their time to make it work.
Due to the increasing number of elections held each year, we are always in need of additional Board Workers in Ocean County.

The information you provide on this form will be submitted to the Ocean County Board of Elections for consideration. You will be contacted by a representative from our office if there is an immediate opening. If you are not contacted within seven days, you will be placed on a waiting list and informed when a position becomes available. We appreciate your interest in serving as a Board Worker.

If there is an available position and you are assigned to work, you will be contacted prior to an election. You will also be notified of all dates, times and locations when board worker training classes are scheduled. Currently the salary for Board Workers is $300 per day and the hours are from 5:15 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with an hour lunch break, for Primary and General Elections. You may also be needed to work School Elections. Starting times vary for each school district and the hourly rate of pay is $10 per hour.
