Ocean County operates a
Fluorescent Light Bulb Recycling Program at the Northern and Southern Recycling Centers. This program accepts 4-foot, 6-foot and 8-foot fluorescent lamps as well as U-shaped, circular, compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), and LED bulbs.
Fluorescent bulbs and other bulbs that contain
Mercury , please do NOT dispose of them in regular household trash. Bring them to our facilities, recycling prevents the release of mercury into the environment.
Broken fluorescent lamps are not accepted.

Bring up to 5 bulbs or lamps per day to our Recycling Centers between 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

- Southern Recycling Center located at
379 Haywood Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050 Drop off at building 105.
There is no cost to the resident for this service.
The drop off at the county's Recycling Centers is for RESIDENTS ONLY.
