DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES

Children's InterAgency Coordinating Council

The Ocean County CIACC functions as the primary county mechanism tasked with advising the Mental Health Board, the Department of Children and Families (DCF), and the Children's System of Care (CSOC). Its role is to help in the development and maintenance of a system of care that is responsive, accessible, and integrated.

This system supports children and youth, 0-21 years old, who face emotional and behavioral challenges, as well as those dealing with substance use issues and intellectual and developmental disabilities. The CIACC's efforts include collaboration with children, youth and their families, along with schools, agencies, providers, and community representatives that work with our Ocean County children and youth.

Through enhanced coordination of system partners, the CIACC also identifies services and resource gaps and priorities for resource development.

The Ocean County CIACC and the subcommittees meet regularly throughout the year. Our meetings are open to the public. If you are a youth or family member with lived experience utilizing the Children’s System of Care, consider becoming involved in CIACC, we need, encourage, and welcome any feedback or input from you to help achieve our mission and goals.

Children's System of Care
New Jersey's Children's System of Care (CSOC), through the Department of Children and Families, is the state agency that serves children, youth and their families through wraparound services, peer supports, mobile response and stabilization, and in-home, in-community and out-of-home programs.
